Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
In this article, we'll guide you through optimizing the in-game settings of BO6 for use with Audio Radar. We'll cover the preferred audio settings, step-by-step instructions for configuring Audio Radar, and tips for testing and optimizing your setup. Additionally, you'll find best practices and examples of how Audio Radar can enhance your gameplay experience.

Game-Specific Settings
1. Access Audio Settings
- From the main menu, navigate to ‘Settings’.
2. Enter Audio Configuration
- Select the ‘Audio’ option.
3. Adjust Volume Levels
- Under the ‘Volumes’ section, select ‘Show More’ to access additional audio settings.
- Disable unnecessary sounds that may interfere with critical in-game audio:
- Set ‘Gameplay Music Volume’ and ‘Dialogue Volume’ to 0.
- Leave ‘Effects Volume’ at 100% to ensure important sounds remain clear.
- ‘Cinematic Music’ only plays during cutscenes—turn this on or off as preferred.
4. Set Game Sound Output
- Leave ‘Speaker/Headphones Game Sound Device’ as ‘System Default Device’.
- For Voicemeeter users (PC Only): Set it to ‘Voicemeeter Aux Input’.
5. Enable Surround Sound
- Under ‘Speaker Configuration’, select ‘7.1 Surround’ for proper directional audio processing.
6. Disable Enhanced Headphone Mode
Ensure ‘Enhanced Headphone Mode’ is turned OFF—this setting uses 3D audio, which only affects the front two light bars on Audio Radar and overrides any 7.1 surround sound settings.
7. Set Global Audio Mix
- Under the ‘Global’ tab, set ‘Audio Mix’ to ‘Home Theater’.

Note: Using 'Asymmetrical Hearing Compensation' overrides 7.1 surround sound settings, causing Audio Radar to function in Stereo Mode (top light bars only).
8. Configure Voice Chat
- Click on the ‘Voice Chat’ tab.
9. (For PC + Voicemeeter Users) Configure Output Device
- Set ‘Output Device’ to ‘Cable Input (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)’.
- If you don’t use Voice Chat, you can leave this setting off.
- Console users: Voice chat audio will appear on the Radar.

“Cable Input” Missing?
Adjust Sensitivity:
- Large maps in Black Ops 6 mean distant gunfire can overwhelm your light bars. Reduce sensitivity to focus on nearby threats. This prevents distant sounds from triggering light bars too often, keeping the most relevant cues clear.

Pro Tip: Adjust Light Bar Sensitivity
Use the three-zone sensitivity dials (right side of the Command Center) to fine-tune front, side, and rear sound detection for clearer directional awareness!
Testing Tips
- Enter a Practice Match:
- Start a bot match to fine-tune sensitivity and audio settings.
- Focus on Critical Sounds:
- Pay attention to important directional cues like:
- Footsteps – Enemy movement in close proximity.
- Weapon Reloads – Useful for detecting nearby enemies preparing to engage.
- Close-Range Gunfire – Distinguishing shots fired near you.
- Iterate on Settings:
- Gradually adjust sensitivity and game audio settings based on in-game feedback.
- Identify sounds that are too overpowering or need more prominence and adjust accordingly.
