Do the light bars activate when teammates are talking?

Yes, Audio Radar processes all audio that runs through it, including voice chat from teammates. This means the light bars may activate in response to conversations, just as they do for in-game sounds like footsteps and gunfire. However, how you control or filter voice chat audio depends on your system.

Select Your Platform for System-Specific Details

PC
  1. Set Discord's output device to your headset or speakers, not Audio Radar. With the free Audio Radar app, your headset plugs into your PC the normal way.

Xbox
  1. Xbox party chat can be muted or adjusted separately in Xbox settings to minimize unnecessary light bar activation.
