In this guide, we’ll walk you through configuring Gray Zone Warfare’s in-game audio settings for optimal Audio Radar performance. You'll learn the best settings for detecting enemy movement, avoiding ambient noise, and adjusting sensitivity for different combat scenarios.
Game-Specific Settings

Note: The steps and screenshots in this guide are based on PC settings, and console settings may vary slightly. While many of the recommendations apply across platforms, menu navigation and audio configuration options might differ on Xbox and PlayStation.
We are working to provide optimized settings for all systems in the future! Stay tuned for updates.
1. From the main menu, click the gear icon in the top left.
2. Navigate to the ‘Audio’ section.
- Set ‘Music’ and ‘UI Volume’ to 0 to remove non-essential sounds.
Fine-Tune Sensitivity for Realistic Combat
- Tactical Tip: Gray Zone Warfare features immersive, high-ambience environments. Lowering Audio Radar’s sensitivity helps isolate critical sounds like gunfire, helicopters, and footsteps while reducing distractions from ambient noise.

Pro Tip:
Use the three-zone sensitivity dials (right side of the Command Center) to fine-tune front, side, and rear sound detection for clearer directional awareness!
Lower sensitivity to focus on gunfire and movement.
Increase sensitivity in quieter moments to detect distant enemy activity.
Testing & Best Practices
Start in PvE Mode:
- Join a Joint Operations mission to test sound feedback in a low-stakes environment before heading into PvP combat.
Focus on Critical Sounds:
- Key audio cues to track in Gray Zone Warfare:
- Footsteps – Enemies moving through buildings or vegetation.
- Weapon Reloads – Identifying nearby threats preparing to engage.
- Gunfire & Explosions – Directional awareness of combat zones.
- Helicopters & Vehicles – Knowing when reinforcements or extractions are incoming.
Iterate on Settings:
- Make incremental sensitivity adjustments as you play to find the perfect balance between critical sounds and ambient noise.
- Avoid excessive activation of light bars by fine-tuning the detection range.
