In this guide, we’ll walk you through configuring Halo Infinite’s in-game audio settings for optimal Audio Radar performance. You'll learn step-by-step setup instructions, best practices for sound awareness, and sensitivity adjustments to improve enemy detection and enhance your gameplay.
Game-Specific Settings
Note: The steps and screenshots in this guide are based on PC settings, and console settings may vary slightly. While many of the recommendations apply across platforms, menu navigation and audio configuration options might differ on Xbox and PlayStation.

1. From the main menu, navigate to the ‘Control Panel’.
2. Select ‘Settings’.
3. Navigate to the ‘Audio’ tab.
4. Under ‘Volume’, set the following to 0:
- ‘Music’
- ‘Environmental Effects’
- ‘Hit Detection Effects’
- ‘Voice’ volume can be reduced based on preference.
- In the campaign, enemy yelling often reveals their locations, so keeping this enabled can be advantageous.
- AI voices (e.g., Cortana) may activate Audio Radar’s light bars, so adjust based on personal preference.
5. Scroll to the ‘Communications’ section.
- Set ‘Voice Chat Mode’ to ‘Disabled’ (if you don’t need in-game chat).
- Lower ‘Incoming Voice Chat’ to 0.
- Turn off ‘Spartan Chatter’ (optional—depends on whether you want in-game callouts).
- Want to hear voice chat? Leave these settings on as needed.

💡 Strategic Tip: Halo Infinite’s large maps feature fast-moving enemies and vehicle combat. Set Audio Radar’s sensitivity to a medium level to balance distant gunfire detection with close-range awareness.
Pro Tip: Adjust Sensitivity
Use the three-zone sensitivity dials (right side of the Command Center) to fine-tune front, side, and rear sound detection for clearer directional awareness!
