Info
Important Note for Gamers Using Headsets & Chat
PlayStation consoles do not allow simultaneous audio output to both HDMI (Audio Radar) and a headset. This means that if you use a headset for in-game chat, game audio will only go to Audio Radar, while your headset will receive chat audio only. This is a PlayStation system limitation, not an issue with Audio Radar. Deaf gamers or those who do not use voice chat are unaffected by this limitation. To learn more and view suggested workarounds, please go to page 4 of the guide below.

Follow the embedded step-by-step guide below to complete your setup.

Your Audio Radar is now set up and ready to enhance your PlayStation gaming experience. With the correct 7.1 surround sound configuration, you’ll gain real-time visual cues, helping you react faster and improve in-game awareness.

Idea
If you are using 7 light bars, you will need to manually configure your Audio Radar to recognize the additional bar after setup.

Follow our step-by-step guide here: How to Configure Audio Radar for 7 Light Bars.

Next Steps:
  1. Check your game’s audio settings – Some games default to stereo sound, which may prevent Audio Radar from utilizing full 7.1 surround sound, even with the Xbox audio updates. Visit the Optimized Game Settings section for game-specific audio setup guides and our growing list of supported titles.
  2. Test your setup – Play a game and ensure the light bars react accurately to directional sounds.
  3. Explore customization – Check out our guide for How to Save Presets on Audio Radar to personalize light behavior and sensitivity settings.
