Preparing for your Audio Radar setup involves gathering a few essential items to ensure a seamless installation. Here's a checklist of everything you'll need to get started.
Required Items
- (2) HDMI 2.1 Cables: We recommend Anker HDMI or comparable HDMI 4K@120hz or 8K@60hz
OR, - (1) HDMI 2.1 Cable & DisplayPort: Learn more about Displayport setup here: PC Setup Guide | Display (HDMI or Displayport)
- Monitor or Television: Ensure your display has room for the light bars, which are ideally suited for screens 24"/60.96cm or larger.
Have a thin, ultra-thin or OLED TV or monitor?
We offer 3D printed L-brackets designed to assist with mounting light bars to thin TVs or monitors, ensuring a secure and stable setup, even on slim displays. You can find them here:
L-Bracket Kit for OLED or Thin Displays
- 3.5mm Audio Cable (Optional): Needed if you plan to use the headphone/mic passthrough feature on a PC.
- HDMI-Compatible Console or PC: Your gaming device should support HDMI connections for optimal performance.
Additional Needs for International Customers
Audio Radar comes with a standard Type A US plug. For international customers, either of the following options will work for your power supply needs:
- IEC 60320 C7 Cable Replacement (Figure-8 Plug):
You can replace just the cable portion of the power supply with one that fits your country’s outlet type. For example:
- EU: C7 Figure 8 Non-Polarized 2 Prong European Power Cord (Example)
- Australia: AU Figure-8 Power Cord (Example)
- Electrical Plug Adapter: Use a plug adapter to convert the included US plug to fit your local outlet. This is a simple and effective solution if you’d prefer not to swap the entire cable.
Recommended Items
- Cleaning Supplies: Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe down the surfaces of your display and light bars for proper adhesion.

Do not use harsh chemicals, such as rubbing alcohol or strong solvents, on the light bar diffuser (the coated strip overlaying the LEDs). Using these substances may degrade the coating and can potentially expose the LEDs. Instead, use a soft, dry microfiber cloth or a lightly dampened cloth with water for cleaning.
- 3M Command Strips: While these are included, having extra on hand can be useful for repositioning or additional setups.
By ensuring you have these items ready before your Audio Radar arrives, you can look forward to a smooth and hassle-free setup. For more detailed product information, see the
Audio Radar Full User Manual.
