What is Audio Radar, and how does it work?
Audio Radar is an innovative sound-to-light conversion system that enhances the gaming experience by visually translating in-game audio into real-time LED light indicators. It provides directional awareness by mapping where sounds are coming from in the game and displaying that information on LED light bars positioned around your monitor or TV.
How Audio Radar Works
Audio Processing
Audio Radar captures in-game sound directly from your PC or console.
Using advanced algorithms, it detects the direction and intensity (volume) of key audio events
, such as footsteps, gunfire, explosions, and vehicle sounds.
Sound-to-Light Conversion
Once the direction and amplitude of a sound are identified, Audio Radar translates this data into visual cues.
The LED light bars illuminate in the corresponding direction of the detected sound.
Louder sounds produce brighter lights, helping to distinguish critical in-game events.
Visual Indication
If a sound originates from the right, the right light bar will activate.
If a sound comes from behind and to the left, the bottom-left light bar will illuminate.
The system works best with 7.1 surround sound, but is also compatible with 5.1 and 2.1 setups, though precision may vary.
