What to Expect in the First Audio Radar Update
Updated 10.03.2024
The first Audio Radar firmware update promises exciting enhancements for your system. Look forward to a new feature and improved functionality, available with the launch of the Audio Radar mobile app in October 2024!
Let's dive into what's included in the first-ever Audio Radar Update!
Key Features:
- Simulated 7th light bar on 6.1 Audio Channels.
- Specialized Minecraft SDK.
Simulated 7th Light Bar
For games that use 6.1 audio channels, such as PUBG, we've implemented a method to simulate the 7th (center) light bar. It works by detecting if the left and right front bars receive the same audio volume. When both bars are equal, the center light bar will activate, allowing you to pinpoint the direction of the sound. The feature is incredibly useful in games such as PUBG, as gunshots can be precisely located despite being limited by 6.1 audio.
Specialized Minecraft SDK
This update also supports additional features when playing Minecraft (Java). You can now utilize a single pixel on the light bar to accurately display where something is! We've also implemented different colors for different types of sounds. This allows not just the direction of a sound to be identified but also narrows down what exactly the sound is. You will need to download the Fabric 1.20.1 version. We plan to update to newer versions of Minecraft in the future.
