Fine-Tune Sensitivity for Competitive Gameplay
- XDefiant's close-quarters and objective-based gameplay require frequent audio adjustments. Increase Audio Radar sensitivity in open spaces and lower it in tight areas to avoid overload.

Pro Tip: Adjust Sensitivity
Use the three-zone sensitivity dials (right side of the Command Center) to control front, side, and rear sound detection, ensuring you catch enemy movements, reloads, and ability activations.
- Increase sensitivity in large, open maps to detect distant gunfire & movement.
- Lower sensitivity in tight, close-quarters fights to focus on footsteps and reloading.
Testing & Best Practices
Focus on Critical Sounds:
- Key audio cues to prioritize in XDefiant:
- Footsteps – Identify enemies flanking or rushing objectives.
- Weapon Reloads – Spot vulnerable enemies mid-reload.
- Gunfire & Ability Sounds – React faster to ultimate abilities & gunfights.
Adjust Based on Location:
- Inside buildings? Increase sensitivity for tight engagements.
- Out in the open? Lower sensitivity to track long-range audio cues.
Iterate on Settings:
- Adjust sensitivity settings gradually based on experience.
- Identify if certain sounds are overpowering others and fine-tune accordingly.
