Before starting this guide, PC users should complete the Audio Radar Voicemeeter setup guide first. This helps make sure game audio, voice chat, and Audio Radar are routed correctly.
Follow this guide first: Voicemeeter Setup Guide for Audio Radar
In this guide, we’ll walk you through configuring Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s in-game audio settings for optimal Audio Radar performance. You'll learn step-by-step setup instructions, best practices for detecting enemy movement, and sensitivity adjustments to improve awareness in Battle Royale, Resurgence, and other Warzone modes.
Note: The steps and screenshots in this guide are based on PC settings, and console settings may vary slightly. While many of the recommendations apply across platforms, menu navigation and audio configuration options might differ on Xbox and PlayStation.
Important: Enhanced Headphone Mode should stay off. This setting uses 3D headphone audio and can override 7.1 surround sound. When it is turned on, Audio Radar may only respond through the front light bars.
Important: Do not use Asymmetrical Hearing Compensation. This setting can override 7.1 surround sound and may cause Audio Radar to work in stereo mode.CABLE Input (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)
If you do not use voice chat, you can leave voice chat off.
For console users, voice chat audio may still appear on Audio Radar.
“Cable Input” Missing?Black Ops 7 has fast movement, close-range fights, scorestreaks, explosions, and many overlapping sound cues. Start with Audio Radar sensitivity at a medium level. This helps Audio Radar pick up nearby threats without reacting too much to every distant sound.
Use sensitivity to focus on the sounds that matter most, like nearby footsteps, reloads, enemy movement, and close-range gunfire.
Use the three-zone sensitivity dials on the right side of the Command Center to control front, side, and rear sound detection.
Lower sensitivity during loud matches or small-map fights to reduce extra light activity from constant gunfire and explosions.
Increase sensitivity when holding a room, watching a lane, or moving through quieter areas so you can catch nearby footsteps and enemy movement more easily.
Use a private match, training area, or low-pressure match to test your settings. Move through different areas and watch how Audio Radar responds.
Key audio cues to prioritize in Warzone:
Footsteps – Detect enemies pushing, rotating, or moving inside buildings.
Parachutes – Notice enemies dropping back into the area.
Weapon Reloads – Spot nearby enemies who may be vulnerable.
Close-Range Gunfire – Identify where nearby fights are happening.
Vehicles – Track cars, trucks, and other vehicles approaching your position.
Adjust sensitivity gradually based on what you see during gameplay.
If the light bars are too active, lower sensitivity.
If important sounds are not showing clearly, raise sensitivity slightly.
The goal is to make nearby threats easy to see without letting distant gunfire, explosions, or voice chat overwhelm Audio Radar.
