What kind of games work best with Audio Radar's sound-to-light conversion feature?

Optimal Compatibility with 7.1 Surround Sound Games

Audio Radar works best in games that support 7.1 Surround Sound Audio. This allows all 6 (or 7) lightbars to individually detect sound cues in the gaming environment. Titles such as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) and Call of Duty: Warzone would work best with Audio Radar, as they utilize 7.1 Surround Sound.

Factors Influencing Audio Radar's Performance

Besides the sound system, the size of the game map and the number of players can significantly impact Audio Radar's effectiveness on a game-to-game basis. Games with medium to large maps and fewer players tend to offer more discernible sounds on the light bars. On larger maps, you should turn up the sensitivity of the Audio Radar to account for sounds that are farther away. This setup effectively highlights critical audio cues like footsteps, gunshots, and vehicle sounds.

Compatibility with 5.1 and 2.1 Surround Sound

While 7.1 surround sound provides the best results, Audio Radar is also compatible with 5.1 and 2.1 surround sound systems. Even if a particular game doesn't use a center channel, the seventh bar will activate and enhance precision. Our latest firmware update allows Audio Radar to simulate a seventh light bar when the game doesn't use it.

Best Practices for Optimal Performance

To maximize the benefits of Audio Radar, consider the following tips:

Minimize Background Noise: Games with excessive background sounds or in-game chatter can reduce the effectiveness of Audio Radar. Turning off in-game chat or separating chat audio from the primary HDMI signal can improve performance.

Adjust Game Settings: Reduce unnecessary sound effects within your game settings to ensure critical sounds are more prominent and easily converted into visual cues.
