Optimal In-Game Audio Settings for Audio Radar

Review | Halo Infinite (Campaign)

In this article, we'll guide you through optimizing the in-game settings of Halo Infinite for use with Audio Radar. We'll cover the preferred audio settings, step-by-step instructions for configuring Audio Radar, and tips for testing and optimizing your setup. Additionally, you'll find best practices and examples of how Audio Radar can enhance your gameplay experience.

Game-Specific Settings

Step 1:
From the main menu, navigate to the ‘Control Panel.’

Step 2:

Select ‘Settings.’

Step 3:

Navigate to the ‘Audio’ tab.

Step 4:

Under the Volume section, turn ‘Music,' ‘Environmental Effects,’ and ‘Hit Detection Effects’ down to zero. ‘Voice’ can be turned down if you don't want to hear NPCs yell. In the campaign, yelling is often how enemies give away their locations. Internal voices such as Cortana will also activate the lightbars.

Step 5:

Scroll Down to the Communications section. Switch ‘Voice Chat Mode' to 'Disabled,’ lower ‘Incoming Voice Chat’ to 0, and turn off ‘Spartan Chatter.’ If you prefer to hear in-game chat, leave these settings on/activated.

Configuring Audio Radar

Adjust Sensitivity: Given the size of the maps, we recommend having the Audio Radar's sensitivity at a medium level. This ensures gunshots far away won't go unnoticed, and nearby gunfire is more likely to be noticed.

Testing Tips

Enter a Custom Game: Start a custom game and mess around with sensitivity and sound settings.

Focus on Critical Sounds: As you play, pay attention to the direction of important sounds like vehicles, yelling enemies, and close-range gunfire.

Iterate on Settings: Make incremental changes to your audio settings based on your experience. Notice if certain sounds are too prominent or if others need to be more discernible.
